Urasawa recently appeared in a seven-hour special TV program for the 50th anniversary, “KKBOX Here comes THE BEATLES” aired on May 3, and the three-page manga is also published in a free magazine for the program that is now available at Japanese bookstores.
This year is the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ Japan tour, performed at Nihon Budokan for five times from June 30 to July 2 in 1966.
To commemorate the year, internationally acclaimed manga artist Naoki Urasawa (Monster, Pluto, 20th Century Boys) has provided a three-page short manga featuring the band’s 2016 Japan tour, including the late two members, John Lennon and George Harrion, to the InterFM897 site.
