One property I always thought was ideal for a high-end classy kind of anime adaptation has been the Ōoku: The Inner Chambers work from Fumi Yoshinaga.
The series, which began in 2004 in Melody magazine, wrapped up in December 2020 with its final chapter and nineteen volumes overall.
Viz Media has released the series under their Viz Signature line and the property saw two live-action film adaptations and a live-action TV series.
That’s now been set for a June 29th, 2023 debut and they’ve rolled out the first trailer for it below.
