NIS America confirmed with ANN that it has three planned launch day patches for Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana for Nintendo Switch to fix text issues and other issues with the game.
NIS America will release the game for Switch on June 26 in North America, and on June 29 in Europe.
The earlier PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions reportedly had issues with the localization following launch — NIS America apologized for the low quality in October and released a free patch on January 30.
An early review posted by GameXplain had reported several problems with the localized script, including repeated lines, subtitles that do not match the dialogue, and untranslated text.
