A public relations official for TV Tokyo revealed on Thursday that the staff of the live-action film adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s Gintama manga is replacing the scene (or scenes) in which comedian Galigali Galixon appears in the film.
YĆ«ichi Fukuda (live-action HK/Hentai Kamen, Mr. Nietzsche in the Convenience Store) is directing the film, as well as penning the script.
A source for newspaper Sponichi Annex claimed that while Galixon’s part doesn’t have many lines throughout the movie, the comedian would be recognizable in the role.
Warner Bros. Japan then revealed a few days later that it was “considering what action to take” regarding his role in the film.
