The original Sword Art Online light novel series has inspired two television anime, an anime special, and the anime film Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale.
The manga adapts Kawahara and abec’s Sword Art Online: Progressive novels that feature a revised retelling of Kawahara’s original Sword Art Online novels.
A television anime of the Alicization arc and a separate television anime of Keiichi Sigsawa’s Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online novel spinoff are also in the works.
The March issue of Kadokawa’s Dengeki G’s Magazine revealed on Tuesday that Kiseki Himura’s manga adaptation of Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online: Progressive novels will end in the magazine’s next issue on February 28.
