The ghost, possessing an inflatable doll and taking the name “Maria,” acts unladylike and a lot like Yakeppachi, much to everyone’s chagrin.
The reprint, titled the “Original Edition,” will feature full-color pages, along with content not originally printed in the Weekly Shonen Champion run.
Yakeppachi’s Maria was first run in 1970, and centered on the relationship between a schoolboy and the female ghost born from ectoplasm shot out of his nose.
