The January issue of Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Garden magazine revealed on Tuesday that Kore Yamazaki’s The Ancient Magus’ Bride manga has 5 million copies in print.
Yamazaki launched the manga in Mag Garden’s Monthly Comic Blade magazine in November 2013, and transferred it to Monthly Comic Garden in September 2014, after the magazine ceased publication.
The manga also inspired a prequel OVA series titled The Ancient Magus’ Bride: Those Awaiting a Star.
The manga is inspiring a television anime adaptation that premiered in Japan on October 7, and Crunchyroll is streaming the series in Japanese with English subtitles.
