The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo will hold special screenings of anime and live-action works of acclaimed Japanese director Mamoru Oshii, titled “Directed by Mamoru Oshii― His Own Selection,” at its film center (Cinema 1, second floor) from January 10 to 22.
The museum was opened as Japan’s first National Museum of Art in 1952.
The screening program covers from his first critically recognized anime film “Urusei Yatsura 2: Beautiful Dreamer” (1982) to his most recent anime short “Je t’aime” (2010).
