Universal Studios Japan Starts Monkeying Around With Donkey Kong Expansion in 2024

  • Yesterday, the theme park and Nintendo jointly announced that the world will be expanding, with an area based on Donkey Kong coming to the park in 2014.

  • The new Donkey Kong area will increase the size of Super Nintendo Land by 70% and comes from the mind of Shigeru Miyamoto and the team at USJ.

  • It is set to open in 2024 right next to the Super Mario area, so in theory, shouldn’t be hard to miss!
